Possible Drunk Driver Killed Three on Interstate 20 in Arlington, TX

ARLINGTON -- Two people died at the scene and a third at a local hospital June 9 after a three-car accident on I-20 in Arlington near the Center Street Bridge, according to the Star-Telegram. The accident also left three cars in flames.

Police said Patrick and Leah Beck left their Grand Prairie home to aid their daughter Leah Beck, whose disabled car was pulled over a shoulder. Police said an east-bound vehicle slammed into the Becks, two of whom were outside their cars, a third inside.

According to newspaper reports, Jose Castro, a 29-year-old Farmer’s Branch man driving a Chevrolet Equinox, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of manslaughter. Police were also seeking testing to determine if the driver was drunk.
