Wrong Way Driver Killed One on Dallas North Tollway near Mockingbird

A wrong way driver traveling on Dallas Noth Tollway near Mockingbird hit and killed another driver early morning, Monday, October 28, 2019 around 2AM. The wrong way driver was driving a white Range Rover headed northbound in the southbound lanes of the tollway. The wrong way driver hit a Nissan Altima headone killing the driver of the Nissan. The wrong way driver was transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital with unconfirmed injuries.
The impact on the crash caused a fire to be started and the Dallas North Tollway was shut down for several hours.
Our thoughts and prayers are for the fatality victim and their family during this time. The wrong way driver was likely intoxicated and the police are further investgating this matter.
