Motorcyclist Killed in Johnson County

On the evening of June 6, 2021, a motorcyclist lost control of his motorcycle on a curve in the road along FM 917 in Johnson County near Renfro Street. The motorcyclist and a passenger were ejected in the crash as the motorcycle struck an oncoming vehicle in the crash. The 40-year-old driver of the motorcycle lost his life at the scene. The 43-year-old female passenger sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital.
