Man dies after falling from hood of car

ARLINGTON – A man fell from the hood of his ex-wife’s car in a parking lot the afternoon of June 22 and suffered what police said was a significant head injury. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

A Star-Telegram article indicated the man had jumped on the hood of his ex-wife’s vehicle at a business in the 4100 block of South Cooper Street, but fell off when she put the car in reverse, striking his head.

The woman drove away from the scene but stopped nearby and called police, reported indicated. Police said a grand jury will make a determination in the case.
