Tow Truck Driver Killed by Girlfriend in Accident Fort Worth By Rocky Walton on July 19, 2019

Tow truck driver dies, run over by girlfriend in accident

FORT WORTH -- A police investigation indicates that a tow truck driver standing outside his vehicle was accidentally killed Monday July 8 when his girlfriend started and drove the vehicle on the North Freeway in Fort Worth.

The man was found lying in the roadway at the scene, already deceased, a Star-Telegram report indicated.

Police said the driver had towed a vehicle from a nearby apartment complex, but had stopped the truck to make an adjustment. They said the driver’s girlfriend had been sleeping in the truck but woke, found no one there, panicked and drove the truck to a nearby service station, not realizing she had struck and killed her boyfriend.
