Major Crash on Hwy 174 Leaves 2 Dead and 2 Seriously Injured
A major accident involving entrapment occurred on the night of October 27, 2019 on Highway 174 in Johnson County. Several emergency responders worked to extricate.
A vehicle traveling northbound overturned after attempting to pass another vehicle traveling northbound and colliding with a 3rd vehicle traveling southbound. A young male and female from the passing vehicle died at the scene. The southbound vehicle driver sustained serious injuries and a child passenger in that vehicle was also transported to the hospital with possible injuries.
DPS are continuing to investigate the crash.
