1 Passenger Killed While Racing near University Drive in Fort Worth By Rocky Walton on May 19, 2020

On May 17, 2020, two vehicles were racing at high speeds when one crashed near N. University Drive near Shamrock Avenue in Fort Worth. A passenger from one of the vehicles died in the crash. The driver of that vehicle was detained and taken to a hospital. Criminal charges are pending. Most liability insurance policies do not cover intentional acts such as road rage and racing. However, the passenger that passed may be entitled to Uninsured Motorist Coverage through the passengers personal insurance policy and Personal Injury Protection coverage through the drivers auto policy. Personal Injury Protection is no fault coverage that is on auto policies to assist with medical bills and up to 80% of lost wages. Typically Personal Injury Protection coverage starts at $2,500 and we've seen it as high as $25,000. Our firm is available for a free consultation. Our prayers are with the family of the passenger who lost their life due to the drivers immature behavior.
