Hit & Run Driver Crashed Into Fort Worth Officer @ I-30 & Oakland By Kati Crouch on May 21, 2020

On May 20, 2020, a driver crashed into the rear of a Fort Worth police car near Brentwood Stair Road and Holt Street in Fort Worth. The driver that crashed fled from the scene but was caught by an off duty officer. The officer and suspect were both taken to a hospital for injuries. We are very happy that an off duty officer was able to find the defendant. Unfortunately, these situations likely indicate the defendant driver had no auto insurance. Fortunately, the police officer can file a workers compensation claim and the city or the office might carry underinsured motorist coverage. Our office is available for free consultations for this matter.
