2yo Child Killed by Teenage Drunk Driver in Garland
On May 23, 2020, a teen male was traveling at high speeds and running
multiple red lights as police attempted to stop his vehicle in a chase that involved a
helicopter to track the suspect in Garland. It began along Broadway Blvd when a
Garland Police officer noticed the erratic driving. Police attempted to get the
vehicle to slow down by backing off during the chase, but the driver continued at
high speeds. The chase came to a halt when the suspect ran the red light at Shiloh Road
and Northwest Highway and his vehicle crashed into another. Both the driver and
a teen female passenger fled the scene on foot but were apprehended. Two adults
and a 3-year-old child were inside the vehicle that the teens hit and sustained serious
