Teen Killed, Mother Injured, in Speeding Crash
On the afternoon of August 18, 2020, an 18-year-old man was speeding in his Dodge Charger while traveling north on Josey Lane in Carrollton and collided with a Honda Civic. The Dodge driver was rapidly changing lanes before the crash. A passenger in the Honda, a 17-year-old boy, lost his life in the crash. The driver of the Honda, the mother of the deceased passenger, sustained serious injuries. The speeding driver was charged as Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
