Wrong-Way Crash Kills 3, Including a Child
On August 31, 2020, two adults and one child lost their lives after the driver of a Chevy pickup was traveling the wrong way on Loop 820 near Highway 377 in Haltom City. The pickup was traveling west on eastbound lanes and crashed into the BMW occupied by the 3 who lost their lives in the crash. Both vehicles caught fire. The wrong-way driver sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital by air. Preliminary reports say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
