Driver Killed After Dump Truck Hits Vehicle By Rocky Walton on September 15, 2020

On the morning of September 14, 2020, a dump truck driving behind an SUV attempting a left turn struck the SUV as it was slowing down on FM 55 at Tees Road in Ellis County. The dump truck did not slow down as the SUV did and veered to the side in an attempt to avoid hitting the vehicle. The driver of the SUV, a 38-year-old man, was killed as the dump truck collided into the drivers side of his SUV. The driver of the dump truck sustained injuries unknown and was taken to a hospital. Prayers be with the SUV driver and his family during this tragic time. We believe that the dump truck driver was distracted possibly while driving while texting. Our office is available for a free consultation regarding this matter.
