Go-Kart Crash Kills 2 Children - Kaufman County, TX By Rocky Walton on November 23, 2020

On the afternoon of November 21, 2020, a go-kart ridden by six children ages 7 to 12 collided with a SUV at the intersection of County Road 167 and FM 2727 in Kaufman County. Three of the children were airlifted to a hospital after sustaining serious injujries. Unfortunately, one child was pronounced dead at the scene. The remaining children were taken by ambulance to a children's hospital in Dallas. As of Sunday, November 22, 2020, a second child died after being admitted to the hospital. Reports say the go-kart was driving along County Road 167 as it was struck by the SUV when it entered FM 2727. The SUV driver did not sustain any serious injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and children involved in this crash. While its possible to collect on the SUV's insurance any home owners policy would likely exclude this type of claim. Our office is available for a free consultation to discuss this matter.
