68-Year-Old Man Killed by Intoxicated Driver - Azle, TX By Rocky Walton on April 23, 2021

On the night of April 22, 2021, a head-on collision caused by an intoxicated 33-year-old woman driving a pickup killed a 68-year-old man driving another vehicle. According to investigations, the woman attempted to pass a slower vehicle on FM 730 in Azle by veering into oncoming lanes and hit the other vehicle. Both drivers were trapped in their crashed vehicles and had to be extricated. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a hospital for injuries before being taken to Tarrant County jail with an Intoxication Manslaughter charge.
