Around 3:00am on August 30, 2021, a man walking across I35E near Empire Central in Dallas lost his life after being struck by a passing 18-wheeler and another passing vehicle. The man died at the scene. Both drivers stated that they did not have enough time to avoid hitting the man on the freeway.
