Military Jet Crashes, Injuring 2 Ejected Pilots - Lake Worth, TX By Rocky Walton on September 20, 2021

On the morning of September 19, 2021, a military jet from Naval Air Station Kingsville crashed into a Lake Worth neighborhood. The two pilots, a student and an instructor, ejected themselves just prior to the fiery crash. They were conducting a routine training flight. One landed by a nearby donut store after their parachute got entangled in power lines, the other landed in the neighborhood near the crash. One pilot was airlifted to a hospital for burns and injuries sustained. Reports indicate that one pilot sustained life-threatening injuries and the other sustained serious injuries and that the student was hurt worse. Three homes sustained damage from the crash in the form of debris. The jet landed in a backyard but did not hit any homes. The Red Cross is helping residents who are displaced, and no residents were injured as a result of the crash.
