18 Wheeler Collision at FM 156 & Chaplin Ft Worth Results in Fatality
On the morning of Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 2:30 AM, the cacophony of squealing tires and shrieking metal filled the air as two vehicles one of which is an 18-wheeler collided causing a mass accident at FM 156 and Chaplin Drive just south of 114 reported DFW Scanner. Emergency services quickly responded to the scene where they began the process of saving passengers from their wrecked vehicles. Fort Worth Police department reported that one man was unresponsive at the scene. Despite intervention from MedStar paramedics, the man was unable to be revived and he was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. Fort Worth Police have revealed little about the man except that he was thirty-four years old and he was from Mooringsport, Louisiana.
According to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicle's recent crash statistics report, Texas was the leader in fatal accidents involving commercial trucking vehicles including 18-wheelers. The report shows that 513 fatal crashes occurred in 2019 resulting in 581 deaths with an overall accident rating of 32,562 accidents involving commercial vehicles per year. This unfortunately means that this terrible accident has only added to a staggering number that continues to increase every day.
