2-Year-Old Killed Near Ice Cream Truck By Passing Truck - Dallas, TX
A two-year-old boy lost his life in Dallas on April 13, 2022, according to WFAA. According to news reports and the Dallas police department, the young boy was near a parked ice cream truck. A 53-year-old woman driving a 2003 Chevy Tahoe tried to pass the parked ice cream truck and, unfortunately, ran over the small child. The crash occurred just after 8 PM and sunset was at 7:57 PM that evening.
Dallas police officers rapidly responded to the incident in the 4100 block of Delafield Lane. They rushed the young boy to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas where they tried to save him. Unfortunately, the boy died while at the hospital. Dallas Police Department is currently investigating the crash to see if there was anything more to the crash. For example, if the ice cream truck was legally parked or if the Tahoe driver was speeding. At this time, the 53-year-old unidentified woman is not being charged with the death. The firm would like to extend its condolences to the family of the deceased at this time. Losing a family member is never easy especially when it involves an innocent child.
Dear Father God, please extend your healing light onto the souls of those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Lord, please give them peace knowing that the soul of the departed is forever with you in paradise. We ask this in your name with all the glory and honor to you. Amen.
At this time, it is unknown if the accident only occurred due to the impatience of the driver or if other kinds of inhibition were involved. The fact that it was nighttime when the accident took place had an impact on the drivers' ability to stop in time. The fact that the victim was a 2-year-old child means that the body was small, and thus hard to see especially at night. The family of the child along with the woman should look into hiring the services of an attorney. Doing so could help with the funeral costs and dealing with insurance companies to make sure that the maximum cost is obtained.
