Female Pedestrian Found Dead on I-30 In Fort Worth From Vehicle Impact
A woman's body was found on I-30 in Fort Worth run over by multiple vehicles reported by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. At about 3 AM on Monday, May 30 Fort Worth police officers were dispatched to the intersection of Interstate 30 and Eastchase Parkway. According to witnesses, a person was lying in the middle of the road unresponsive. Upon arrival at the scene, police found an adult female victim in the eastbound lanes. Multiple vehicles not having seen the body had struck the woman, and first responders pronounced her dead at the scene. A possible suspect in the accident was taken and detained when he arrived at a local hospital seeking medical treatment. The victim of the accident will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiners Office. At this time no names have been released to the public. The firm and its associates would like to extend their condolences to the family of the deceased.
Dear Lord guide the grieving souls of your followers into the light of healing and grace. Guard them against the shadows of despair that would cloud their minds and lead them from you, Lord. We ask this in your name with all the glory and honor to you. Amen.
This kind of accident is often due to vehicles breaking down, which leads some drivers to exit their vehicles to flag down help. Unfortunately many times this happens during the early hours of the morning or late at night when visibility is low. This often leads to drivers who are not paying attention to the road due to not being able to see pedestrians. According to initial police reports, it appears as if the initial driver who struck the woman was intoxicated. Intoxication would have dulled the driver's reaction time, especially in the dark of night. At this time though the police investigation has yet to reveal if the woman had any impairments of her own, that would have caused her to leave the safety of her vehicle. While the police work to uncover all of the details there are things that the family of the deceased can do. One of the most pressing things would be retaining the services of an attorney. Doing this would allow the family to focus on their next steps in the healing process while leaving the attorney to deal with the insurance companies and other entities.
