On the very early morning of December 20, 2021, a woman was killed after her gray Nissan struck a retired officer’s SUV that was blocking for construction traffic. The crash occurred on southbound Interstate 45 and Loop 12 in Dallas just after 4:30 am.
Fox News reported that as the woman was driving on I-45 near Simpson Stuart Road, she attempted to change lanes and pass another vehicle. However, when she changed lanes, she crashed into the retired officer’s SUV. He was reported to be in stable condition after sustaining injuries and being transported to a hospital. Unfortunately, the woman’s injuries were too severe, and she was pronounced deceased on the scene by Dallas Fire Rescue. Dallas Police indicate that the SUV had emergency lights on and was parked in the left lane at the time of the accident.
